Dean's Award

For several years (through 2009), academic majors were organized in “schools.” The Dean’s Award honored the student within the School of Psychology with the highest cumulative grade point average.

Travis Wood is the recipient of the School of Psychology’s 2009 Dean’s Award! Travis will continue his education in the Fall of 2009 in a Master’s program in Experimental Psychology at California State Universty San Marcos. After receiving his Master’s, Travis hopes to attain a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. Even though Travis transferred into VU, he was able to integrate himself into the community. He was in ASB his junior year and an RA his senior year at VU. Travis participated in multiple missions trips in California and Mexico. His academic contributions include serving as research assistant and as a Teaching Intern. Travis graduated summa cum laude, with awards inluding the School of Psychology Dean’s Award, Delta Kappa, Psychology Savants, as well as the Shirley Albertson Owens Academic Achievement Award.
