Research Abstract

Praslova, L., Castillo, D. & Pearson, A. (2009). Modeling Effects of Collective History on Cultural Worldviews in the Classroom. Poster presented at the 21th Annual Convention of Association for Psychological Science/Teaching Institute, San Francisco, CA, May 21.

We present a class activity which models effects of generational poverty, discrimination, or other adverse circumstances and allows students to experience the effects of collective history on beliefs, expectations, and decision making.
